THE HISTORY OF RED'S.  .  .

         Red's Shoe Barn was started in a converted blacksmith's shop by founder Peter J. "Red" Murray, who bought shoes direct
from the many local factories.

1972 

Soon, word of Red's selection, savings and service spread,
and in the years to follow Red's added brands from around the
world and expanded to become one of New England's
 largest footwear retailers.

Red's continues to be family owned (son, Patrick M. Murray)
and has many long-time employees, including
General Manager Dave Whitehouse (41 years).
